The SEASON of FESTIVALS

One will be held in the Spring.

The majority of the work on these play happens off campus and the students schedule, collaborate and organize entirely on their own. Each play is given one "check in" with the producers and techies and one final dress rehearsal/tech rehearsal on the stage before opening. All the scripts are read by Mr. Schaefer immediately after being submitted and most scripts go through a round of critiques and revisions. WG DRAMA wants to bring the best one act plays to the community and scripts are rarely at their best at a first or second draft. All of the plays that are selected to be in the festival are directed by the playwright (or the writing team). 

Each production team is required to find: 

A stage manager to be on book in rehearsals, and manage the cast during the festival; making sure they are where they need to be when they need to be there. They will also act as the costume manager and props manager for their one act; mapping everything! 

The Festival will have the following provided:

A light board op who will run the board for the "check in", the dress rehearsal/tech and the actual show.

A sound op who will run the board for the "check in", the dress rehearsal/tech and the actual show.
